About Your Teacher

My name is Kitty Stellby and I initially created this course because I could not find any courses in the Fine Arts Electives offered at any home schooling site that dealt with photography - which is a hobby, a profession and a passion of mine.

I received my training in photography in the US Navy, and served for 10 years as a Navy Photographer and in Naval Photo Intelligence. Since leaving the Navy, I have taught photography and have also free-lanced in legal photography.

I have a degree in secondary-education in California, hold an ACSI credential, and have 6 years of experience in classroom teaching.

I've created this course from scratch based on my experience both in photography and teaching.
