Since we do not have a shelter at this time, all of our adoptable pets are in foster homes. So we have arranged for 'shows' to be held in various places in our area to bring all of our wonderful pets together in one place! This gives all of you potential adoptive families the opportunity meet our ALL of our Adorable Adoptables in person - and choose just the right pet for you!
But please know that you are welcome to visit any of our pets by appointment. So if you see that special pet in our Available Pets section, feel free to fill out our online Adoption Form - and indicate that you would like to schedule an appointment and we will be happy to contact you to set up a mutually agreeable time and place!
Pet Paws Featured Pet!
Sylvia thought she had found her forever home, only to be disappointed. Sylvia's adopters returned her to Pet Paws because Sylvia played too rough with their small dog.
She didn't intend to be too rough, it was simply a size difference issue. Nonetheless, Sylvia is once again yearning for a loving family to call her own. Perhaps one without a small dog.

Special Mention!
The March Pet Paws Award of Merit goes to Haleigh Smith of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Haleigh is a first grade student at Hickory Creek Elementary School.
It seems that as a school project in Haleigh's class, the children had been asked to choose a charitable organization, put together a presentation and go before a group or business and request a donation be made on behalf of the charity the student chose.
So Haleigh came to the Pet Supplies Plus store when we were there for one of our Meet & Greets and - without mentioning anything to us about her project - she came over and talked with us - asking questions about why the pets were there, why would people not want them anymore, what we were doing to help them and so on. Then the next thing we knew, we received a phone call from the American Legion asking us to come to their Post to accept a donation!
It turns out that Haleigh had prepared and given a presentation to the American Legion Post 47 SAL Members on behalf of Pet Paws. She had requested that the SAL make a donation to Pet Paws to help with our rescue efforts - and as a result, the SAL members issued us a check in the amount of $200!
We truly appreciate Haleigh's efforts and would like to give a big Thank You to the SAL members of American Legion Post 47. It is truly amazing what the vision of one child can bring about! Thanks to her thoughtfulness and their generosity we can continue to rescue innocent pets who have done nothing wrong and only want to find a family to love them!

Come visit with the pets!! If you are interested in adopting, fill out our online Adoption Form at least 12 hours in advance so that you can pick out and adopt your pet right there!
Adorable Adoptables Facts
We take excellent care of our rescued pets and make every attempt to ensure they are healthy, well-fed, much-loved, properly socialized and ready to become a part of your family. Steps we take to ensure this are listed below. All of our Adorable Adoptables:
- Are spayed or neutered prior to adoption if possible
- All vaccinations current including Rabies & Kennel Cough
- Are given flea prevention treatment
- Have been shown affection and made to feel loved
- Are socialized to increase compatibility
- Are wishing for a forever home like YOURS!
If you have any questions about our adoptable pets, or one pet in particular, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to discuss your issues with a view to resolving them and helping you select your Adorable Adoptable!
Foster Home Flash
Here at Pet Paws Search and Rescue we are always in desperate need of MORE Foster Parents to share their homes with our precious rescues until they find their forever homes. So if you are nearby and can volunteer your home - we would be very grateful .. almost as grateful as the rescues that you kindly welcome in!! We believe it's crucial to the long term well-being of our rescues to be fostered in loving homes, with proper food, discipline, exercise and lots of love, so it will be easier for them to make the transition to their forever homes!! So our rescues literally come from our homes to yours!!

Rescue Us!
As with any non-profit organization that does not receive financial support from profits, we rely heavily on YOU, our friends, to help us continue to do our work!
Therefore we are always in need of caring Volunteers and generous Donations to provide us with the support we need so we can rescue pets and keep them safe, healthy and loved until they find their forever homes. So we are calling on you to rescue us, so we can rescue these innocent pets who have done nothing wrong and only want to find a family to love them!
It's very easy and a lot of fun to volunteer!! And the looks of love and adoration you receive from the pets you play with or exercise are priceless and SO rewarding!!
You can Volunteer to:
- Provide transportation to and from shows
- Take our pups for long walks
- Take our more energetic pups for runs
- Play with the puppies (tug 'o' war, indoor games)
- Brush the dogs and puppies
- Bathe the dogs and puppies
- Teach the dogs and puppies simple commands
- Play with the cats and kittens (indoors)
- Brush the cats and kittens
- Conduct Home Checks
- Confirm References
And we are always very grateful for donations of any size - from $1 to $1000 - all are appreciated equally!
