A PLEA FOR HELP!!!
Now that spring is here, there are more pets than ever that are either homeless or unwanted. Along with the warmer weather comes mosquitos and heartworms. We are asking you to help us help our furry friends who are in need. Sid, an adorable Daschund mix is heartworm positive. The treatment is $185, but without treatment Sid could die. Then there is little Cleo, a poodle that can only eat canned food because her teeth are so bad. She needs a dental and spay costing $190. Sadie, a wonderful little Sheltie is about to have puppies, much to our surprise. Our rescue van required repairs totalling $514. These poor pets just keep coming and we need your help to continue to help them. If you can find it in your heart to give a donation we, and our adoptables, would be ever so grateful. Pet Paws Featured Pet!
Jack Jack is a wonderful, smart, loving and very athletic dog. He is a year and a half old, already neutered, current on all his shots and has been treated with both heartworm and flea & tick preventative. Jack Jack was surrendered to Pet Paws by his previous owner who was getting married and could no longer keep him. He would make a fantastic agility or frisbee dog. Jack Jack can jump three foot fences with no effort! Adorable Adoptables Facts
We take excellent care of our rescued pets and make every attempt to ensure they are healthy, well-fed, much-loved, properly socialized and ready to become a part of your family. Steps we take to ensure this are listed below. All of our Adorable Adoptables:
- Are spayed or neutered prior to adoption if possible
- All vaccinations current including Rabies & Kennel Cough
- Are heartworm tested
- Are given heartworm prevention treatment
- Are given flea & tick prevention treatment
- Have been shown affection and made to feel loved
- Are socialized to increase compatibility
- Are wishing for a forever home like YOURS!

Come visit with the pets!! There is no picture in the world that can compare to meeting a pet in person!! If you are interested in adopting, fill out our online Adoption Form at least 12 hours in advance so that you can pick out and adopt your pet right there!
Foster Home Flash
Here at Pet Paws Search and Rescue we are always in desperate need of MORE Foster Parents to share their homes with our precious rescues until they find their forever homes. So if you are nearby and can volunteer your home - we would be very grateful .. almost as grateful as the rescues that you kindly welcome in!! We believe it's crucial to the long term well-being of our rescues to be fostered in loving homes, with proper food, discipline, exercise and lots of love, so it will be easier for them to make the transition to their forever homes!! So our rescues literally come from our homes to yours!!

This is Coco and her new mommy. Coco goes everywhere with her mom. As you can see, she is very comfortable and enjoys her shopping trips to the pet store. These are the happy endings that we strive to obtain. Pet Paws believes that every puppy, dog, kitten, or cat should have this kind of life and be as lucky as Coco is. All pets, whether purebred or a mixed breed, deserve to be saved!
