Pet Paws Search and Rescue Gazette
PLEASE ORDER YOUR 2006 WALL CALENDAR NOW! HELP US HELP THEM!!
For the Love of Rescues is a project by one ambitious young lady in an effort to help as many dedicated rescue groups as possible. The calendar photos are all pets who have been rescued and are now in wonderful loving homes. The adopters of these rescued pets volunteered their time, moving stories, and most importantly, the lovable faces of these pets who help to prove one of the messages of the project: Rescued Pets Make Incredible Family Members.
Along with these great faces you'll find their Happy Endings stories, Furry Facts about pets and rescuing & Trainer Tips to help you and your pet live happy lives together.
The cost of the calendar is a very reasonable $15.00 with $10.00 going directly to Pet Paws. The remaining $5.00 is to cover the cost of printing the calendars. This is a full size wall calendar, measuring 11" by 16" - with plenty of room for notations of special events and dates.
To order, click to For The Love of Rescues, complete the order form and select 'Pet Paws Search and Rescue' from the drop down menu 'Choose one rescue to receive your donation'.
Once all the calendars are sold, we will receive $10 for each calendar ordered! Pet rescue is hard work and very costly! By ordering a For the Love of Rescues calendar, you are helping Pet Paws save lives and giving a second chance to helpless, unwanted pets!
We thank you for purchasing this useful 2006 Calendar and helping Pet Paws help abused, abandoned, neglected pets at the same time!!
Please order your calendar today before they all sell out - and don't forget to buy a few extra to give as gifts to other pet lovers you know!!
Pet Paws Featured Pup!
Freckles is such a special baby! At 8 or 9 months old, he is still just a pup. He is an Australian Shepherd mixed with who knows what. He is a very unique, beautiful pup. Freckles has brown speckling on his front half and black speckling on his back half, which explains his name! Freckles is very sweet and starved for love and attention. He loves everyone, other dogs, cats, kids and adults.
As a puppy has a very high energy level and loves to run, romp and play. He will need obedience training to learn his manners, because he gets so excited when people approach him, he simply can't contain his excitement and jumps on them frantically.
On the plus side, he is totally crate trained and housebroken, already neutered, current on all his shots, heartworm negative, and has been treated with both heartworm and flea & tick preventative. He was dropped off at a high kill shelter in Ohio.
Freckles needs a loving, patient home where his family is willing to take the time to help him understand that he no longer has to work so hard to get love and will just be loved for being his own adorable self! And teaching him to be a well mannered boy is crucial to him being able to enjoy a long happy life. Just understand that when you first meet Freckles, he may come across as too much of a handful - but we know this little guy, and all he needs is lots of love and patience - and a bit of basic training and discipline. His foster mom has already proven that this will change if he is given a little bit of time to get to know you, trust you and learn from you. So, if you would like a lifelong playmate who is loving, loyal and devoted, please call 260-341-5229, e-mail or fill out our online Adoption Form if you would like to adopt Freckles or any of our Adorable Adoptables!!
And equally exciting ...

If They Could See Me Now!
Dear Tammy,
Thought I would update you on Lucky. He and the cat have been separated, BUT just this weekend I've left the doors open and except for some hissing and cat food stealing episodes, no fur flew. I'm still keeping them separated when I am not here for the time being.
Lucky has a new doggie car-seat/cushion, and several new toys, which her personally picked out when I took him to PatsMart. He is spoiled rotten. Helikes to sleep beside me when I play the guitar or piano, and jump on top of my stomach when I try to watch TV. He's become paper trained when he has to go and I'm not home. He is pretty good about letting me know when it is time to go out when I am home.
Lucky loves our trips to the park. He has two pink balls which he love to play with, and his favorite toy is his "naugy-bone" from PetsMart. He carries it everwhere he goes.
Lucky has an odd fetish, a foot fetish. He loves to lick my toes. This took some getting used to, but he loves to go at them.
He has so much personality, I guess you can tell I adore him! Thank you for allowing me to adopt Lucky, he is happy and very loved.
Cathy P.S. Lucky too!
These are the happy endings that we strive to obtain. Pet Paws believes that every puppy, dog, kitten, or cat should have this kind of life and be as loved as Lucky is. All pets, whether purebred or a mixed breed, deserve to be saved!

They have only ever wanted to be loved!! PLEASE HELP!!
